ओमप्रकाश बने राजौंद खंड के प्रधान

संवाद सहयोगी, राजौंद : खंड के प्राथमिक शिक्षकों की बैठक शनिवार को राजकीय प्राथमिक पाठशाला में मुख्य शिक्षक रमेश कुमार की अध्यक्षता में हुई। जिलाध्यक्ष रोशन लाल पंवार ने संगठन की आवश्यकता, महता, इतिहास व प्राप्त उद्देश्य एवं निर्धारित उद्देश्यों बारे बताया कि सरकार प्राथमिक शिक्षकों की जायज माग व जायज हकों को देने में आनाकानी कर रही है। जिला प्रधान ने बताया कि संघ की प्रमुख मागो में वरिष्ठता सूची जारी कराना, पदोन्नति मामलों का जल्दी निपटारा कराना, मिडल-हेड में कोटा, प्राथमिक शिक्षकों को कनफर्म करना आदि शामिल हैं। शिक्षक संघ सरकार के साथ आरपार की लड़ाई के लिए तैयार है। बैठक को राजेश बैनीवाल ,रमेश कुमार, संजय राणा, नरेंद्र गौड़, कर्मबीर आदी ने भी संबोधित किया। इसके बाद राजकीय प्राथमिक शिक्षक संघ राजौंद की कार्यकारिणी का गठन किया गया। इसमें ओमप्रकाश को अध्यक्ष, राजबीर को उपाध्यक्ष, कर्मबीर को वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष, ऋषिपाल को कोषाध्यक्ष, राजकुमार को सचिव, पहलवान को संगठन सचिव, प्रैस प्रवक्ता सुखदेव, आडिटर सतपाल,संयोजक धर्म सिंह व राजकुमार को सर्व सम्मति से चुना गया। इस अवसर पर सत्येंद्र पाल, रणदीप सिंह, संतोष कुमारी, राजेश ढुल,राजेश मितल, हरिकृष्ण, वजीर सिंह, नीलकंठ शर्मा, जोगी राम, वेद प्रकाश, पवन वर्मा, सुरेद्र धानिया, रविंद्र लौहान, सोम सिंह, राजबीर, रामनिवास, रोशन लाल, सत्यवीर यादव, जितेंद्र यादव, राजेश कुमार, रणधीर शर्मा, जगजीत सिंह, महावीर, सुरजीत, सुरेश कुमार, जगीर सिंह, अनिल कुमार, रोहताश कुमार, संदीप, विनोद कुमार, राजेंद्र, जोगेंद्र पाल आदि मौजूद थे।

Candidates have right to inspect answer sheets: Supreme Court

In a verdict that could bring in more transparency in education system, the Supreme Court on Tuesday said the examinees have a right to inspect their answer sheets under the Right to Information Act.

A Bench comprising Justices R V Raveendran and A K Patnaik said the evaluated answer sheets are covered under the definition of “information” under the transparency law.

The Supreme Court upheld the judgment of the Calcutta High Court, which had said “rejection of the request for inspection of answer sheets could not be sustained” and rejected the contention that disclosure of answer sheets and allowing the inspection would lead to the collapse of the entire system.


It dismissed the appeals filed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal Council for Higher Education, University of Calcutta, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and West Bengal Central School Service Commission which had challenged the verdict passed on February 5, 2009.

The Assam Public Service Commission and Bihar Public Service Commission had also opposed the disclosure of answer sheets to examinees. The apex court agreed with the findings of the High Court that the examination conducting bodies do not retain the evaluated answer sheets under any “fiduciary capacity.”

The High Court division bench had earlier said: “We have little hesitation in holding that an assessed or evaluated answer script of an examinee writing a public examination conducted by public bodies like CBSE or universities, which are created by statutes, does come within the purview of “information” as defined in the RTI Act.”
